The Mack model 'C' was based on the cab forward Ahrens-Fox apparatus that was produced in the mid 1950's. Mack built these rigs from 1958 to 1968 when the extremely popular model 'CF' was introduced.

This photo shows Engine 207 of the FDNY operating with their C model engine.

Note: Photo lost during site update.

Here is what the 1964 Mack C Pumper looks like to that was formerly owned by Portage. The owner today is going to restore it back to the way it was delivered to the P.V.F.C #1.

Unknown origins! Please tell me someone recognizes this rig or can track it by the Cha. #, because nobody can figure out where its from!! I found it at a car lot down in Oak Ridge, TN in August of 2007 for sale.

A row of about 21 Mack C-Models delivered to the FDNY. No idea if this was one delivery or several posed together for an advertising photo.

Can anyone here tell me where this girl served originally? No one at the FD knows for sure, but they think she's from "somewhere in Wisconsin."

Re: Mack C 1957-1967

I took a trip out to WildeFire Fire Apparatus in Mayfeild Ny and Paul Wilde, the owner...took me around this truck. A doctor bought this truck and had them rebuild it from the ground up. This truck looks like new....like it just came off the floor. The engine is rebuilt and runs like a champ. The pump was rebuilt and it pumps like a champ...Everyone at WildeFire did an outstanding job bringing this history back to life. Expect to see this truck around at the musters and parades.
