Hi all:
Been quite a while, but I am back with a question for the identification of the pictured item.
I LOOKS to me to be some sort of a time delay relay. Would anyone have a definitive answer?
I understand the wiring aspect of it, but how about instructions for its use or adjustment properties?

Thanks in advance.
Tom

You are correct! It is an early Gamewell Uniform Time Relay. Usually has a tall can to cover it. Fire alarm circuits are typically closed circuit. If the circuit fails and remains open, devices like bells could sound continuously. One use of the UTR is to limit the time the bell would sound.
