Taken today in Rothsay, Minnesota. This is an IH 4 door FWD chassis brush truck. It is/was part of cooperative program with the Minnesota Department of Forestry. The body and fiberglass tank are for sale, apparently the chassis is not. It's a commercial service vehicle body with a small fiberglass tank.

After the rescue truck was replaced in 1988 the FC removed and junked the utility/rescue body, and replaced it with a flatbed body. the company purchased a used field skid unit from Parkesburg FC, PA and mounted on the flatbed. Replaced the used field skid unit with a new unit a couple years later.
The International has served the fire company well for over 32 years.

I've always thought this was an extremely interesting rig. Wish it was still around. Dan Martin photo from around 1965.

According to a retired captain, it ended up in a junkyard sadly. The other city service ladders were refurbished, but for some reason not this one.

Davenport, North Dakota, tanker built by ? The only things I'm sure of are it's an IH chassis, it's painted yellow, it wa in FDavenport at the time the photo was taken in 2012 and the tank leaked! I've labeled it homebuilt body in the photos for lack of information. I did not see a builder's plate on the truck.

I took this photo during a parade in the mid 80's. It was an IH Pierce that was used at the Springfield Ohio IH plant. I saw this engine in Urbana Ohio a few weeks ago with the lettering removed but didn't get a photo.

Due to a 2002 accident truck could no longer be used as a first out piece. It is now mainly used for brush fires and small accidents...Replacement is in the talks as Bethlehem Twp approved a purchase for a new replacement rig..Keep checking back on this post for an update of the replacement.
