Harrison Twp. is located in Montgomery Co. North of the City of Dayton. At the time these photos were taken they were a Volunteer Department that operated out of 4 stations. Although I think they had #'s assigned they were know by their neighborhoods: Northridge North , Northridge South, Shiloh, and Fort McKinley. The Northridge North location is now Sta. 95 and a new station was built and is Sta. 94. The other 3 older stations still stand, but are no longer used as active fire stations. These photos are from the 1980's and were shot at various locations including the Central Western Parades. Sometimes with Box 2565 and sometimes without his participation. These photos are being presented in Chronological order for your enjoyment.

This photo was taken at a Central Western Parade that I believe was held in ARcanum, OH that year. This was a rare time when Box 2565 & myself withdrew from taking pictures due to the excessive heat. We retreated to the comfort of my parent's swimming pool and lived to shoot another day.

I hope that you have enjoyed this look back at the Harrison Twp. Fire Department. None of the rigs posted above are with FD now. Today they operate with 2 front line Sutphen Engines and 2 front line Sutphen Mini Towers. There is a spare Sutphen engine and they have a Summit Rescue. All of their current apparatus have been posted on the Sutphen & Summit threads.

Thanks to wf33ret for pointing out to me that I mistakenly listed all the Americans as Howes when I posted.

Only been 9 years since Buckeye posted his photos of Harrison Twp. Here is their 1964 Sutphen Ford platform. 75'. My notes said it had a 750 GPM but not to sure if it did. Could be being a 75' model with single rear axle.
