There were a couple of pieces of apparatus that were going to FDNY on display at the FDIC in Idianapolis. A Ferrara pumper for Engine 26 was there along with this 2004 Freightliner/Lynch Display Van mobile command post.

This station was located in Jamaica, Queens and housed Engines 275, 298, 299 and Ladder 127. On the ramp is a 1937 Mack pumper and that looks like a Seagrave wagon coming down the street.

Mack factory photo.

The little extras that you can see on these rigs really make for a nice photo. The windshield at the rear step, spare tire, pompier ladder, the row of nozzle tips, and of course that big pre-piped deck gun all look good! Note that Dietz "Fire King" lanterns are still being specified. A couple of real classics.

1936 FWD
85' Aerial
12 Purchased
The company assignments of the 2 aerials shown are not known to me. Back in this era the company number was lettered on the trailer with ladders mounted in front of the numbers. The first photo may be Ladder 42. The 2nd photo really makes me want to head over to Luigi Jaconetti's for a Coke!

Engine 2 & Engine 21
1936 Mack
1000 GPM
Type 21
Great looking machines. I like the row of nozzles and tips mounted on either side of the rig and the pre-piped deck gun that really looks like it's ready for business.

New York purchased 20 ALF 700 series engines in 1947. Here are 11 of that group posed at Elmira.

The photo was taken on 12-01-27 so my guess is that this is a new 1927 ALF. Hose wagon type isn't known.
