Ladder 17 is getting platform originally intended for Ladder 6. Should be in service in the next day or two. Ladder 6 will probably get one of the new Smeal rear mounts.

Ladder 25 is back in service, but their tiller has been disposed of.

The clown show continues with the new apparatus. Not only did Ladder 6 not fit into quarters and had to be reassigned to Ladder 17 but it appears the 8 Ferrara pumpers need modifications due to the fact that anyone over 5”11 is going to have problems riding in them. Also for some reason Squad 6 has been denumbered and last word was it was going to be assigned to Squad 5. As of last week Ladder 22’s new Smeal was seen snow covered at R&R.

Ladder 22 put their new truck in service yesterday. Their Facebook page has a video of it coming out of the repair shop. Nice looking rig. Their page is Ladder 22 The Double Deuce

Kodiak said it was 53 that received a new Engine. Must have misstated. Any reason 50 got a new truck? Better fit for Quarters?

Busiest companies are getting the newest engines first. Their rigs are being re-numbered and sent to other companies until all the Pierce units are out of service.

Does anyone know what the story is with the other 6 Ferrara Engines? They were all delivered, but it looks like only E50 and E53 have them at this time. Also Squad 6 was delivered but I drove by there yesterday and they had their old rig still.

In addition, it looks like all the new Ambo's are still rotting at the academy. What gives? Another Fornell flub?

The rest of the new engines went out this week. Engine 60 was the last one as of yesterday-ish.

Squad 5 will be getting the first squad instead of squad 6.

The new ambulances are still getting licensed by the state of Michigan.
