O.K. I'm going to post pictures of one item that will be in the auction. Howard and I discussed this piece on the phone. Now the reason that this particular soon-to-be-auctioned treasure is first is because we don't really know what to make of this tool. The "T" handles on each end of the 8" chain interlock to form a single handle. Howard thought that it might be a really nice hose strap (notice how good the nickle plating looks) and I tend to agree after seeing the photos. Does anyone know what this really is?

You sir, are in possession of police property. That is an old school handcuff, used on one wrist to bring in a prisoner. You wrap it around one wrist and can twist it if the guy gets fiesty. My boss has one on his desk which belonged to his grandfather who was a NYPD cop back from 1890-1920.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the reply. I received a couple of e-mails from people (including one from Brooklyn Phil) who relayed the same information. I guess it's now a fire and police auction!

10:30 Saturday and all is well. Barb and I just got back in from Cincinnati. This years auction and flea market were fun. We didn't sell a lot of stuff at the flea market but the entertainment Friday and Saturday more than made up for that. I have a couple pics of Cincinnati Station 19 that I'll post maybe later this evening.
