So my son and I took our 1968 Ford/Hahn engine to the San Jose Firefighters Car Show. This is the first year we've done the show since we didn't have 8506 last year! There were only a few other privately owned rigs there, including a tractor drawn Seagrave aerial ladder. Most of the rigs were current in service San Jose apparatus and a few pieces owned/operated by the museum.Shown below is 8506 with the Seagrave, with the doors open, and with the cab tilted.Jeff
Santa Clara's old ALF 800 series.
She's a beauty! I like how your truck snuck into the third picture, LOL!
Three more cool shots. Close up of the bell on the museum's Mack. A Southern Pacific Locomotive built by Baldwin in 1913, complete with airliner taking off from San Jose's airport in the top left of the photo, and a shot of the Seagrave from the hose bed of 8506, with some of those cars that were at the show in the background.Hope you all enjoyed the photos!Jeff
I think the fire trucks were probably the star of the show, after all, that's why people go to parades in the US! And is it just me, or does the bumper on the Seagrave look a bit off-set?
