Section gone/missing?????

Did one of the forum sections get removed? Wasn't there a Northeast Ohio section or something along those lines? I thought it had a bunch of the departments from Cleveland/Akron area in it.
In the Ohio fire discussion there is a newer Akron thread started, but I thought we already had one (or even 2) of them. I was unable to find it and had posted pics or just had posts in it.
If not, I am just going crazy in the head. Let me know. Thanks

No, actually you are not going crazy, at least not about the Northeast Ohio discussion forum. There was one. I had made an attempt one morning not long ago to merge the NE Ohio and the Ohio discussion groups together. My plan was to delete the NE Ohio group and move the topics into the Ohio one. Well the first part of the plan went flawlessly. The only slight problem was that it didn't ask me to move the other topics in that section and just deleted them outright. I figured, ok no problem. That's why I performed a full backup with my web host before I did that just in case. So I contacted my web host. They wrote me back a few days ago and apparently all of the files backed up EXCEPT the databases which contained all the forum posts. B-E-A-utiful to borrow a line from Bruce Almighty. So now as I get time, I'm perusing through numerous cds in search of one that might contain a backup file for the forums and the posts so I can attempt to recover them.

So that's the 4-1-1 on that forum. I hope the older backups I have somewhere contain the database posts as well.

Greg, sorry that happened, thats crazy! As far as the Akron thread goes, I had saved most (possibly all) of the pics from the Akron thread for future reference. If anyone would like me to re-post any of them I could. HOWEVER, I do not know who took each of them, so all I would be able to say is credit to original photographer. But again, if anyone would like to see any of the pics I had saved, and of course if it was okay with you Greg, I would be more than happy to post some/all of them. Hope this all works out for you Greg, and thanks for the explanation as I too was wondering what happened.

I have been looking for the thread of Apparatus Group Shots that was part of Apparatus by Department. I noticed that thread is not there and my posts do not reflect the photos I had in that thread. I was curious to whether the thread was removed or moved to another area.

No idea what's going on with that thread (and their are some great photos to be seen in it).  Is there any way to recover the topic from your back-up cds?

I haven't deleted anything significant like that. Recently, I've only been deleting copywritten photos on request and have kept Greg in the loop when I do...
