Another Braddock Century, Truck 201. It is a 76 or 77. Unknown pump/tank size. It was replaced in 92 by a Pierce Dash and sold to Swissvale, Pa. Current whereabouts unknown. I hope someone has a better photo of this rig. Photo by Tank.

I remember this engine from when I was a kid.  I'm not sure if the white door on the driver's side was original, I remember that it was lime green every time I saw it.

Credit to the original photographer.  I found this a few years ago on thewatchdesk.com

Here is a picture of this engine working the McClure Johnston fire on March 30, 1985.  It was a roofing supply company, and was battled for hours.  The veterans who were around for this fire recall that it threatened a large 1000 gallon propane tank.  They began to evacuate the area in fear that it was going to blow.  A few crews continued with handlines to cool the tank, and it was saved.  We have stock footage of this fire from one of the news channels at our station, and is a great look back on all the apparatus that served the surrounding areas.  This engine, our two white engines from the 1980s, a 1983 Chevy/ Grumman and a 1960 American LaFrance, Wilkins Township #1s pumper (seen on the Hammerly Apparatus thread), a 1976 Mack R pumper from Munhall #5, and a 1948 Ahrens Fox from Turtle Creek.

Kansas City, MO
1983 ALF #7937 (one of ?)
1250/500
Diesel/?
(note flat side window, extra front cab door hinge)

Read my post about "Interstate Special" Centuries.  This rig is one of them.  There were 40 original Interstate Specials bought by the 6 designing cities, which Kansas City would've bought 6 or 7-assuming the contracts were divided up evenly.

I have a request for Dave or Steve or whoever has pictures of these.  I'm looking for the ALF's with serial numbers of 8110 and 8111.  I have reason to believe that Keyser's Engine 33-15 (#8109) and Tygart Valley's "Ol Blue" (#8112) are twins-or at least sisters.

What makes you think we haven't?

Oklahoma City bought four; they were the first OCFD rigs to have all-strobe lighting.  Here's one of them:

1984 ALF #?
1250/500
Diesel/automatic
Engine 4

I have four numbers for the Oklahoma City rigs, I just don't know which one was assigned where.  All four were 1250/500 and were 1984 deliveries, but they were ordered in pairs.

I don't have any info on 8110, but 8111 is a 1984 Century 1500/750 that runs as Engine 36 in Millville, NJ.  Take a look:

Wish I had a number for Engine 37......

Never said you didn't.  I was merely saying that that might give you an estimate as to how many KCFD ordered.

Thank you.   The design of this truck makes me think it may be an Interstate Special.  I'd have to contact the dept.

This is a 1977 ALF #CE-12-5723  1250/500 that ended up in Morgantown,WV in 2000, it was overhauled by the ffs and then repainted locally. It is x-Swissvale,PA. and orig. Braddock. It was a reserve engine, not sure if still there since MFD has new rigs...

If you are referring to the Morgantown rescue, it was built from a Century 100' rearmount.

Thank you Brucobuff. I assumed that it was just scrapped. That rig fought some of the most spectacular fires in the area. Does anyone have a delivery photo of it?
