I'm also going to post my photos I have of Raleigh County apparatus. Most of these aren't the best, as it was pouring the rain, so I apoligize in advance.

One thing I like about this Saber and their engine is that these rigs don't have those awful hubcaps that I see on a lot of Pierce rigs.

This beautiful decal is on the engineer's side near the bow of all Beaver VFD apparatus, that I'm aware of.

Engine/Rescue??
Next to Keyser, Fayetteville and Oak Hill, my favourite volly fire company in West Virginia would have to be Beaver. The canary yellow trucks are really good looking, and in an area dominated by E-One, they run (as far as I'm aware) an all-Pierce fire department. This photo was taken at the staging ground for the 9/11 Parade of Lights. If anyone knows the specs of this or any other Beaver VFD rig, please share. The only time I ever see one of their members, they're walking in during EMT class.

I did not see any definate markings as to who built the body (that I remember). It was raining very hard that night (as evidenced in the photos) so I just snapped a photo of each rig and moved on, getting the ambos in a group shot. However, if notice above the window on the canopy it says "rescue". I'm almost positive that this was an engine/rescue.

This is a perplexing engine to me. This was the last one I shot as I didn't notice her at first. I don't want to sound like a pansy, but by then it was raining harder and getting colder by the moment and most of the crews were either taking shelter in their trucks or the mall, so therefore I snapped a quick photo as the rain was starting to mess with my iphone so after I shot this I ran inside. I regret not taking a closer look at this rig This looks to be run by Beaver VFD, as it is the only fire dept. in Raleigh County that I'm aware of that runs yellow apparatus. However the lack of the 9/11 Rememberance decal on the nose and the black stripe throws me for a loop. Plus the fact that it does not appear to say "Beaver Fire Dept." on the door. Any help would be much appreciated.

Engine 103-1
1987 Seagrave HR/2003 Advantage rebuild

This and the rig I'll post below her are former FDNY sternmount aerials. If anyone knows the FDNY serial numbers, I'd love to know!
They call these two "engines". Personally, I think that's a massive understatement, LOL. I've been toe to toe with this beast (just to see how much bigger she was than I, this is one MASSIVE engine), I'd say the term "Southern WV Super-Pumper" would be adequate for these two as I've never seen any larger engines. Ever.

Here's a photo that shows just how massive she really is. This is from my iphone (like all other photos that I've taken to date as I found my digital camera, with a messed up screen and haven't replaced it yet), so I had to crop it. Sorry for the youthful nostalgia, but I've never seen an engine/tanker this big, which this and her "sister" are very massive for this area. The only other larger fire apparatus I've seen was Tri-Towns' Truck 24 and FDNY Ladder 143 (I saw her in a rather interesting circumstances back in 2005. I watched Squad 270 blast down the street in front of where I was at and turned down towards Liberty Ave.-I was on a church trip to a church at the corner of a block in a neighorhood called "Little Guyana". However Division 13 was not with her. About two minutes later Ladder 143 came down the street beside the church and went straight towards Liberty Ave. It all happened so fast I didn't have time to run upstairs and get my camera, however it so cool watching that tiller fly down the street, lay the siren and airhorns out, blast through the intersection (she didn't slow up much), half-crab while maneouvring around traffic. Around ten of us were standing there waving at them, the officer gave us a quick salute, two of the guys in the back were leaning out waving and even the tillerman took a second to wave, it was a very cool experience!). Honestly, thinking about it, these two engine/tankers might be around the same size as Truck 24.

Note: The Town of Sophia has the city-run Sophia City FD that has a paid Chief and maybe a couple other officers, and Sophia Area VFD which is on the outskirts of town.
