it woulds be each types and any type in that types of fire truck so pumpers would be front mount, side mount, top mount, rear mount and just post photos matching those types of rigs with no certain department just what the members have shot of that type of fire apparatus no asking to see a certain rig from one department just what members have shot of that type of apparatus

Not harsh at all...I (and many others) agree!  Next thing you know, "lfpd75" will be asking SOMEONE ELSE to start a thread exclusively for blue and red polka-dotted 1939 Ford F-1150 tilt cab Super Duty 4x4 Diesel pickups with front-mount Ahrens-Fox pumps sitting at a Sinclair station on US66 in Phoenix, FL!

"Lfpd75," have you ever considered using the shift key, a space bar, or a period when composing your requests?

Ow. My head hurts.

To lfpd75: Jonathan, please check your posts for punctuation. I've already sent you one warning via PM about filling up the forums with "please post this and that" crap. You didn't make any points by posting a empty spreadsheet file and saying that was what you had so far in the Towers Fire Apparatus section either. If you continue to post illegible posts and replies or I want this or that posts, I'll have no choice but to remove your posting privileges. I would really appreciate it if you didn't make me ban your account temporarily.

Thank You for posting this message as the Webmaster.  I know most "Older" members don't mind helping out a new guy who wants some information, but this seemed a little different than that.
I hope the weather improves soon so I can get out to get some more photos to post.
Take Care, John.

With due respect to the webmaster:
I find it out of character that our esteemed webmaster of so many years and of such infinite patience has become irritated sufficiently to use off-color terminology such as ''crap''. Surely there must be a better way of saying the same thing without resorting to colloquialisms. No offense; just my 2 cents.
On a more positive note: though the esteemed WFD next door has again been rejected in their request from the feds for a new apparatus the bright side is that two high-level city officials have indicated to two high-level FD and firefighter officials that a bond--a municipal bond--will be floated which among other needed capital improvements will include a new class A fire apparatus for use in the WFD albeit by its very depleted force numbering barely over 50 members with many pending retirements looming within the next several years. More to come as it is made available. Maybe the depression is starting to thaw afterall !!!

I'm sorry if you feel you are getting yelled at. You may think its perfectly acceptable that out of 131 posts, 121 are requesting information and wanting assistance. You really are not contributing anything to the site other than overloading the topics when 92% of your posts are gimme this and gimme that. I am not singling you out. I would give a warning to anyone should the circumstances be the same. I've received complaints from several members of the forums so it is not just me holding a grudge against you. I just happen to be the webmaster and the responsibility to take care of forum issues falls to me. I think that if you gave a little, people would be more willing to give back in return.

@wfd44 - Thank you sir for your observations and feedback.

Dearly esteemed webmaster:
I posted with trepidation not wanting to seem offensive but feeling bewildered because the webmater I met circa 1998 has somehow evolved into a more focused and pointed and direct sort of persona. I am at a loss why the cordiality of those days appears to have been lost in the long haul since. If I am missing something prey tell  in private. I am in a state of post-traumatic stress having been primary care-giver to a now departed parent for a long time and negelected my own health in the interim. The experience was draining at its best and devastating at its worst. If I have merited some sort of justified distancing then so be it. Its just that no one has ever enunciated what my specific errors have been to have earned being essentially put at arms length. Admittedly with the change of YFD shop oversight I was pushed out and so be it. Then the cold shoulder followed from hizhonor the chief of YFD without any known reason. Now that I am getting back to a less strenuous form of existence I am able to address these concerns. How bout a pm telling me whats wrong?

Actually, books on Pierce, E-1, Pirsch, Thibault, Grumman have already been produced by Iconographics and were all done by experienced and knowledgable apparatus enthusiasts. Bringing any fire service book to publication is a long and arduous process, the financial returns may not match your investment.
The best all-color US apparatus books (IMO) were done in Germany by Juergen Kiefer and Dirk Wiezorek a few years back.

Today's young people have a different concept of  :'("being yelled at" :-* than my generation did 30-40 years ago...
