Seagrave Apparatus 1950 - 1969
« on: November 28, 2002, 12:00:45 PM »
Newmanstown, PA operated this 750/200 Seagrave Safety Sedan as a hose wagon when I photographed it several years ago.  It carried two large beds of 5" LDH.

Mt. Holly Springs, PA, Cumberland County Co. 36 ran this 1957 Seagrave aerial. This truck had an 85' ladder. This was the first ladder truck used by the department. The ladder truck came from Yaden, Pa. The unit was purchased by the VFW #7343 for the fire department.  It was replaced in 1984 by an Ex FDNY 1974 Seagrave Ladder.

And here is it's brother, another 1964 Brockway/Seagrave 750 GPM pumper that served as Bowie's Engine 191. Today, it serves Norlina, NC as Engine 22. It is powered by an 8V-53 Detroit Diesel engine with dual chrome exhaust stacks. The original 500 gallon tank was replaced with a 750 gallon tank a few years ago.

Bethany, Oklahoma
1966 Seagrave/ International
100'
This truck seems rather rare to me.  I have not seen many other custom chassis with a buildup by Seagrave.  This truck may now be in Idabel, Oklahoma.  I saw won very similar to this one when I drove through there around 2002.  This photo was taken around 1985.
