Warren firefighters battle two blazes
Story from the Warren Tribune Chronicle on 1/16/2010.
WARREN - City firefighters battled two fires Thursday.
A space heater placed near a mattress started a fire at 220 Highland Ave. S.W. about 12:01 a.m. that caused about $10,500 in damage, according to reports.
Crews answered another call at 8:15 a.m. at 1218 Mahoning Ave. that caused $500 in damage to the vacant home. The fire was started on the second floor by a vagrant trying to stay warm, according to police.
No one was injured in either blaze.
