Station 5 served as Headquarters from 1908 to 1968. It was located on 4th street downtown. It housed Engine 5, Truck 1, Rescue 2 (1966 to 68).
Here are the Engine 5's that served downtown:
1912 Mitchell truck/ 1902 Hose & Chemical Wagon. (1912-13 moved to Eng.3)
1913 American LaFrance 750gpm (Destroyed in collision with a street car 1930)
1930 Pirsch 1000/70 (Reserve 1953 to 1968)
1953 FWD 1000/200 (Sold to Manitowoc, WI. 1976)

In 1968 the downtown station was closed. Truck 1 moved to the new safety building downtown (with Engine 1, and Rescue 1). Engine 5 and Rescue 2 moved to Marquette street, north of downtown, in Engine 4's old station. Engine 5 remained there until 2005, when they were closed and taken out of service. Rescue 2 in the mid 1990's moved to station 8.
Here are the rigs that served on Marquette Street:
1953 FWD 1000/200 (Sold to Manitowoc, WI. 1976)
1976 Ward LaFrance 1000/500 (reserve 1997 to 2001)
1985 Pirsch 1500/500 (former Engine 7)
1988 Emergancy One 1500/500 (former Engine 1, now reserve)
