Hamilton Township is located 23 miles northeast of Cincinnati, Ohio.  We operate from 2 stations, Station 76 located at 69 West Foster-Maineville Road in Maineville and Station 77 located at 2000 East U.S. 22 & State Route 3 in Hamilton Township.  We are a combination career, part time and volunteer department.  Our response district is 34.5 square miles.  We serve not only Hamilton Township but also the Village of Maineville and a portion of the Village of South Lebanon.  Hamilton Township Fire Rescue was organized August 1, 1994.

Fire protection prior to 1994 was provided by the Maineville Community Volunteer Fire Company organized in 1954.

Our roster consists of 13 career personnel, 25 part time personnel, and 5 volunteer and support personnel.

In 2008 to replace the aging the aging Medic unit fleet it was decided to purchase two Horton 623 medium duty ambulances.  The first one Medic 76 arrived in November and the second unit Medic 77 arrived in February 2009.  Though manufactured at different times they have back to back production numbers 13757 and 13758.

These units replaced a 1998 International Medtec Ambulance and a 2000 Ford F 250 Medtec.

2006 Ford Expedition Staff Vehicle

This is used currently by the Deputy Chief and its identifier is Chief 77

The second vehicle pictured is a 1999 Ford Explorer that was purchased as EMS 76.  In 2003 we purchased a 2003 Ford Expedition EMS 76 to replace the 1999.  The Explorer was used by our Chief as his vehicle up until his retirement in 2008.

Hamilton Township Fire Rescue Headquarters Station 76
69 West Foster-Maineville Road
Maineville, Ohio 45039

Built in 1962

The original part of this building was built in 1962 by the volunteers of the Maineville Community Volunteer Fire Company.  A 3 bay addition was put on the back of the original building in 1984 to house the first piece if diesel apparatus that was purchased by the Fire Company as well as apparatus that was stored in the annex that was located less than a mile from this station.

Originally this building housed not only the Maineville Community Volunteer Fire Company but it was also used as the Hamilton Township Trustee Meeting Room, Maineville Village Council and Police Department and the United States Post Office.

We currently share our building with Volunteer Firemens Insurance (VFIS) of Ohio.

EMS 76 is a 2003 Ford Expedition.  It serves many roles but primarily as a staff vehicle.  It can also be used for BLS or ALS response and support

This unit  can also be used by our shift commander.  If it used by the on duty shift officer its designation becomes Battalion 76.

Hamilton Township has had two patches in our short history.  The first patch (right) was designed by retired Fire Chief Goebel Williams Jr.

The patch on the left is our current patch.  We changed patches and logo's in 1999.

The township has recently adopted a new logo and a new patch design is in process.
