Not bad for 1,331 residents. Are departments not allowed to use GMC chassis anymore for anything other than a tender/tanker? The only other commercial chassis I see are Freightliner, Sterling and International. I've seen some Ford's as heavy duty brush trucks.

Internationals are very popular in this area too for larger truck applications (engines & tankers). GMC/Chevrolet trucks are used frequently as well. Ford F450 & F550 are probably the most popular as far as heavy duty trucks above one ton. They maneuver easier because of their smaller size compared to International & GMC. Georgetown, TX FD has an attack truck on an International chassis that I'm told holds up very well.
