To everybody

I`m not stolen your photos, I`m just trying to make a systematization of all models.|

You are so wrong with this, you did not give anyone here the choice to participate in your internet ego trip. This is " unauthorized use of property", as you certainly did not ask my permission...

I know that you`re not Russians, but Americans, and copyrights for you are more important than for us.
That sure did not stop you, so our only defense against your "poaching" is not to post.

But now we have the full history of all models of American LaFrance Company. For me it is very important.

P.S. The history has no authors...

This history has already been done in book form and is available thru enthusiastbooks.com.

OK. What do you want from me?! This is the forum where you show your pictures. If you`re so suffer of your pictures, put it in your home album and don`t show it to anyone. The rules of this forum says: "PLEASE, if you are going to post other peoples photos, get their permission or at least give credit to the photographer." I gave credits to you all, so you can sleep gently now. I said sorry for loosing credits. Don`t be grumblers. This are just photos! Just photos with trucks! If this photo is the most important thing, that you`ve done in your life - ok, I will delete it!
And, one more thing. About the book. I live in Russia and I have no chance to buy this book. You`re lucky! You can go to shop and buy it. I`m just trying to collect information about history of YOUR truck companies. You should proud, that you have such good truck manufacturers. And I just show it to World! You`re Americans. You live in good contry! Don`t be so stupid to fight because of photos...

It's worth investigating if there is some feature that can be added that auto tags the photo with the authors info or prevents us from right clicking on photos. There are thousands of photos on this site and they are all open to mining.

Now that you and I have gotten the authorship established, if you wish to use any more of my photos, shoot me a PM before you do and I'll be happy to have them on your site.

JUST CURIOUS HOW DOES ONE GET A COPY RIGHT ON A PHOTO
DON'T  YOU HAVE TO FILE PAPERS  IN DC

ONCE I WAS TOLD  IF YOU OWN THE NEGATIVE  ITS  YOURS  , BUT AGAIN SLIDES  DON'T  HAVE NEGATIVES

I HAVE MANY SLIDES AND PHOTOS FROM AROUND THE WORLD
DURING THE LAST 20 YEARS  I HAVE NO IDEA  WHO THEY CAME FROM       BUT I DO BELIEVE IF  YOUR  MARK IS NOT THERE
IT IS NOT COPYRIGHTED .     JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT SW

From this website:

http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-fairuse.html

"Is it legal to download works from peer-to-peer networks and if not, what is the penalty for doing so?
Uploading or downloading works protected by copyright without the authority of the copyright owner is an infringement of the copyright owner's exclusive rights of reproduction and/or distribution. Anyone found to have infringed a copyrighted work may be liable for statutory damages up to $30,000 for each work infringed and, if willful infringement is proven by the copyright owner, that amount may be increased up to $150,000 for each work infringed. In addition, an infringer of a work may also be liable for the attorney's fees incurred by the copyright owner to enforce his or her rights.

Whether or not a particular work is being made available under the authority of the copyright owner is a question of fact. But since any original work of authorship fixed in a tangible medium (including a computer file) is protected by federal copyright law upon creation, in the absence of clear information to the contrary, most works may be assumed to be protected by federal copyright law.

Since the files distributed over peer-to-peer networks are primarily copyrighted works, there is a risk of liability for downloading material from these networks. To avoid these risks, there are currently many "authorized" services on the Internet that allow consumers to purchase copyrighted works online, whether music, ebooks, or motion pictures. By purchasing works through authorized services, consumers can avoid the risks of infringement liability and can limit their exposure to other potential risks, e.g., viruses, unexpected material, or spyware.

For more information on this issue, see the Register of Copyrights' testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee."
