Now that you mention it, this thing is kinda reminiscent of a WLF 750A, only minus the enclosed cab.

  The Ward-LaFrance 750A built for the USAF was just a big square box on wheels with two wings
  attached. Built in the 1950s it was a truck way ahead of its time; fully enclosed four door cab,
  complete compartments on both sides, enclosed pump panel, etc. I operated a few of these in
  the ANG back in the early '70s. It may not have been the most beautiful fire truck but it served
  its function very well. Boy, did I like the old 750A.
