Now this is my company's truck in Ridgefield Park, NJ. This is a 1979 Seagrave tiller with a 100ft aerial ladder. This is one hell of a truck, but it will be replaced within the next 2 years with (only the best), another Seagrave tiller!

In its previous lifetime, TVF&R was several smaller departments including Washington County (Oregon) Fire District #1. They ran two of these 1976 P-series pumpers. This was Engine 253 and worked the career house in Progress along with an ALF Aerial Chief and a rescue box on a 1-ton Ford Truck chassis. This rig was put into reserve in the mid-1980's when replaced by a Pierce Arrow. The stations now run Pierce Quantums or Telesquirts. After service in reserve, with volunteers, and with training, the rig was decomissioned and placed on the back lot. Stripped and exposed to the weather it was rescued by a retired volunteer who had served time on her when she was a reserve. She is now resurrected to her original livery and assignment as E-253. Not completely restored but pretty much fully outfitted she looks for all the world like an in-service apparatus. There is no shame in honest wear.

I love that Seagrave! Beautiful rig! Ohh, and please tell me that is not a fire station behind it?! That would be a HUGE and beautiful station!
