Boyer Apparatus Through 1949
« on: February 23, 2003, 01:32:45 AM »
Can anyone identify the community where this rig saw service?  This is an early 1920's Reo chassis with Boyer apparatus.  I believe that the rig is somewhere in New York state.

The uniforms have the initials R & H on the front.  I believe this stands for Rxxx Hose.  Any ideas on this one?

This apparatus is believed to have come from Swayzee,  however the identification is not certain.

Many thanks to Phil for passing along these great shots! Is there anyone who can help provide him with any additional information? Thanks!

"Here's a grab shot of a 25(?) Reo/Boyer with a Barton American 200 gpm pump (sorry, no bumper). It's lettered for East Grand Rapids FD. I didn't get a chance to chat with the guys and the photo doesn't enlarge enough to get a clean shot of the badge. I found some add'l Reo rigs in McCall around pp 73 and the pump on p. 93.

Do you have any add'l info? Next year I'll try to get a cleaner shot.
