This photo was taken on June 29, 1914 and shows the rig ready for a parade. Apparently the BPOE were having some type of event and a few decorations were added!

Political Correctness (def.) - a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

The IFD operated a pair of these. I don't know if this is a photo of each or two photos of one.

Using what scenery is there (mainly the spacing between engine room doors), I'd say that this is either a photo of one of each or a photo of the same one at two different engine co. assignments. The former seems most likely.

One of 3 Ahrens-Fox rigs owned by Piqua. There was a second Piston Pump and an 85' Aerial.
This rig is now on its 3rd private owner since leaving the PFD.
That's an R on the hood, this owners last name started with an R.
Box 2565 & I photographed it at his house on the Wesrern outskirts of Troy 7/4/1982 long before its Ken Soderbeck restoration.
