The Model A was the first style of motorized piston pumper offered by Ahrens-Fox. These double dome jobs were only offered for a few years. Only 1 Model A pumper is known to survive.

Sandusky, Ohio is fighting a frigid looking blaze in this view. There is an aerial in front of the fire building and an Ahrens-Fox model A piston pumper supplying water to the firefighters.

Long Beach, California operated a number of these Ahrens-Fox pumpers. Here, one of the engines is posed in front of quarters. Notice the small, red warning lights mounted on either side of the bell.
