Columbus Ohio Standby 3rd Alarm
« on: October 25, 2006, 05:40:04 PM »
Hey everyone,
Just got back from a 3rd alarm fire with Columbus Division of Fire. It was at 3400 Jackson street. This is off of sr 104 South ramp, down by the Old Trash Burning Plant areas.  The fire was in a 1 sty large concrete comm'l bldg. Heavy smoke on arrival. The fire was knocked down with a few handlines. There was still fire on the roofline, and celing areas when I left, but they contained it fairly quickly.  The 2nd and 3rd alarms were transmitted, due to the lack of hydrants close to the buildings. Box 15 canteen, Franklin Twp, and several units of CFD responded. The CFD Auxiliary responds on all working 2nd and 3rd alarm fires, but I was placed in service once I got there. Did manage to get a few pics.
