I am trying to get rid of some scanners...
« on: November 05, 2004, 09:42:29 AM »
Hi all, I am trying to get rid of a stock of Uniden Bearcat Scanners to make room for more lighting stock in January. I have at least 2 of just about every model Uniden carries. All these will come with full factory warranty in an un-opened box at reduced costs. If anyone is interested, please email me direct with some info of what you are looking for and maybe a budget.
Thanks and be safe.

Hey Matt,

I am a dispatcher for the paging group Miami Valley Breaking News. We page out fires, etc. I am always looking for different kind of scanners to use, so I can monitor what is going on.  I don't want to pay 300$ or anything crazy like that, but I am looking for a new hand held scanner.
Just leave me a message either on this site, or on my home e-mail at cfdaux91@yahoo.com
    Talk to you later

Hi,

I'm looking for scanners that use the APCO25 card for a trunked digital system (Uniden BC796D or the handheld version).  Let me know if you have anything...

box 2565 is that for monitoring hamilton county ohio with?? if so and you get one please let me know where you got it. since everybody here is now on 800 including city of cinncinati all my scanners are useless. i've got 2 base/mobile bearcat 565's, 16 channels, (i think) 1 bc 55 xlt handheld 10 channel. all programmable. all are no good for what i want to listen too which is the local fire and police in hamilton county/ cincinnati area. also if anyone is interested in purchasing any or all 3 of these scanners let me know. i'll sell individually or all together. i've also got 2 more at home but don't know what they are off the top of my head. i'll post them later.

frfghtr89,

Yes it was for Hamilton County and now the City of Cincinnati.  Steve got his BC796D at Camp Fire and Safety.  I got my BC796D off of EBay.    You have to get either  Uniden BC796D (Desktop/mobile), Uniden BC296D (Handheld) or Radio Shack Pro -2096  (Desktop/mobile), Radio Shack Pro - 96 (Handheld) to monitor both the Hamco system and the city system.

Here are a few sites that have BC796D's and BC296D's in stock.  All are around $509 to $534 plus shipping & handling.

I have bought scanners before from GI Joe's Radio Electronics and Communications Electronics and both have been great to deal with:
