Are those really blue? That looks like white to me, with a blue stripe. I will take your word for it.

It's just the picture, they really are baby blue, I've seen them in person.

There are a couple of older Bloomington rigs in the Grumman thread, if that doesn't convince you, I'll post every d**n photo in my collection and yes, I HAVE been there!!!

Bruco, the sun light really did do murder to the pictures GA_Dave posted, you can tell they're blue, they just look more pale than they really are.

1975 Kodachrome slide by Joel Woods, WJ collection

Sunlight, film, camera settings all can have an impact on this color, also it seems that the color has lightened since the 1960's rigs. I have more examples, but I expect this issue is settled...
