COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Two Wyoming, Ohio, firefighters suffered bone fractures when they fell about 30 feet from a training tower Saturday afternoon, officials said.
John Glassman, 45, and Bryant Davis, 23, fell from a ladder during a training exercise on the tower at about 2:30 p.m., the Wyoming Fire Department Chief Robert Rielage said.
Both men were taken to a hospital, where they were listed in fair condition, WLWT Eyewitness News 5 reported.
Information on what caused them to fall was not available.
The department said Glassman and Davis had their firefighting gear on when they fell. The gear helped to break their fall and may have saved them from more serious injuries, the department said.
The tower is located behind the Colerain Township municipal building.
