NYC states that they would save 5 Million dollars by removing the boxes. They'll probably surpass that amount in losses and lawsuits. I think reverse psychology would have worked here. If we pleaded with the cities to remove the boxes they would think its something we wanted and force us to keep them!

This booklet is dated December 1, 1941 and has 8 pages of box locations in Englewood, New Jersey. What I like about this item is the listing of "
Special Signals
". I think it's neat that I can request the Nash chemical by using signal 1-2-2.

can u scan and print the remaining pages? i've been going bonkers trying to get the Englewood Box lists. We have some of Englewood's boxes that are in service as master boxes on the firehouses in Rutherford, renumbered.

Somerville, NJ is in the process of removing their system. Ramsey has bagged theirs and may be removing them, soon. Bloomfield, NJ is supposed to start removing their system in June. I'm trying to get them to change their mind.
