I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Safe Holiday season as well.  Make sure your tree is well watered if it is real.  We don't want to be sending any YMFPA pages about a fire at YOUR house this holiday season.

Thanks for keeping the board hopping while I was taking a mini end of the year vacation. I was away from the boards and a good part of my email taking a much needed break.  I did some moving of posts around and replied  to a few. I accidently deleted the Pierce Yahoo Groups URLS. If you want to repost them go ahead.

Just to fill everyone in on some 2003 stats. AS of December 31, 2003 at 12:35pm, youngstownfire.com was using 326MEG of it's alloted 333MEG on it's server. For anyone math challenged, that leaves us with 7MEG free to continue growing. Not very much. Also youngstownfire.com has used 4179GIG of it's 5GIG transfer for the month of December. Making it by far the most active month since youngstownfire.com started. Just in the past 5 days, we gained 65 new posts (Many of which were courtesy of RDW, BS918 and Daysleeper47). Thanks guys for infusing new posts and discussions into the boards!

So what does this all mean? We're going to be having some growing pains again in the VERY near future. I'm already looking for a new site to host the entire youngstownfire.com site. Something with about 1GIG of free space (as opposed to 333MEG which we are limited to now). I'm trying to put any money aside for the new hosting which will fall in the $100-150 range for 1 year. You have noticed the Miles Greenwood Society Annual Fire Memorabilia Auction and Flea Market Ad on the message boards. I thank them for their sponsorship. That money will be going towards the new server hosting costs. If you want to know how you can help, check out the youngstownfire.com store. All proceeds from the shirts, hats and patches goes to help youngstownfire.com grow.

If you know anyone who does web hosting and is willing to provide youngstownfire.com with 1GIG or more of space, please have them get in touch with me.  Also, I went ahead and renewed the youngstownfire.com domain name for an additional 2 years last month.

As always, before I decide on a hosting company for the site, I will make my proposals here on the message boards for anyone to comment on. I don't want to make a rush decision and I value everyones comments and suggestions and feedback as we grow again.

youngstownfire.com will be at the Cincinnati Auction and Flea Market again this year. Look for our table and stop and say hi! We'll be selling T-shirts, hats and our new youngstownfire.com patches there. If you have a patch from your fire department, bring one with you to Cincinnati and we'll trade one for one.

Have a great New Year and see you at the next big one!!

Greg, except for the limtied space, it sounds like everything is running smoothly at YF.com. Thanks for the State of the Website address. We need to make it annual event, Mr. Webmaster.

I just want to with everyone a Happy New Year! Be safe tonight!

Greg,
THANKS! Thanks for the wonderful site. I was hoping to have reach the end of 2003 with a total of 200 posts, I don't think I will make it. I plan on posting as much as I can in 2004. I've learned alot from this site. I've enjoyed this site very much. It's wonderful to see all the photos of the older apparatus, we need to keep the history of the older apparatus alive. To anyone that has helped me with information in the past, again my thanks.
I wish Greg and everyone a safe and quiet Happy New Year.
 :)

Greg and Barbara,

Hope you guys have a great new year! :D   Can't wait to see you down here in Cincy in March.

As stated by RDW and daysleeper, thanks for a great site and if you need any help (God forbid) when and if you change hosting sites please let me know.

Thanks Joe. I will try and go one step beyond that and make these quarterly updates :) My main goal is just to keep everyone updated as to whats going on. Sometimes thats easier said than done :)

Hope everyone had a great new year!

Steve, you really are kind of behind on the times... it's 1999, Duh! At least that's what my friends kept singing. I don't know, after a beer or two, all they kept saying over and over again was, "'Cause tonight we're gonna party like its 1999!"
