I have a few of the logo's that they had over the years. They range from Battle Creek, to Marshaltown Iowa. back to Battle Creek then to Hutchinson, Kansas. They were owned by Collins Industries in Kansas. Then sold to Harold Lackabe and moved to Ball Ground, Georgia. That logo was made of plastic. They have shown up again...this time in Bowking Green, Kentucky. Still under the American name but a new logo...go to
www.firemfg.com
and you will see the new company. I did work for American Fire in Ball Ground Georgia as production manager back in 1988.

I am trying to find out some more information on a truck I recently photographed. I want to post the picture in the correct forum to keep everything correct as possible. I did not get any information from the department other than pump/tank capacity and year model. The logo on the pump panel showed American Eagle. I looked through the pictures under this forum and there are some differences in the trucks that were built within a few years of the one of which I am writing which makes me wonder whether there were two respective companies. The obvious difference is the back of the pump panel. The trucks pictured here have a bright metal finish and the one in question is black for which Pierce is known. I know most manufacturers use the same trademark markings and valve operations to tell their apparatus from others but this one is similar in the valve configuration and operation to the trucks mentioned earlier. It will be a while before I am in the area of where the truck in question is located to find out more information and the possibility of finding any people there is slim. I have tried searching for American Eagle apparatus and several various forms and usually get hits on ALF Eagle and other well known apparatus manufacturers. I am posting a picture for comparison purposes in the hopes that someone can shed some light on this truck. I will post it in the appropriate forum when I am can obtain more correct information as possible. Thanks for any help that can be provided and reading this long post.
Here is the information I have so far.

American Eagle was a manufacturer of apparatus in Gainesville, FL from 1985-1989. The company was started by form E-One employees who sold the company to E-One in 1989. I believe E-One continued the American Eagle line of apparatus based on commercial chassis until about 1992. By this point, they had driven the division into the ground and killed it off.
I found this info in a lawsuit between E-One vs. American FireEagle Apparatus Co. at

Thank you for the information. The link was some interesting reading. I did notice that the valves & valve operation favor E1.
