My wife bought me a new Radio Shack Pro-2051 scanner that was on clearance. I retired the old MR-8100 to my fire collection room. I also had to purchase a new 2M/440 antenna for my mobile amateur radio and I picked up a seperation kit for my FT-8100 duel band radio. So, to say the least,  I had to do some remounting and rewiring in my car this week. The result is very nice and very clean.

It's a little easier to shift from park to drive now :)

The base part of the FT-8100 is mounted in the trunk. The face of the radio is mounted under the 2051 using the seperation kit.

The following is a list of my mobile radios:
Yeasu FT-8100 Duel Band Amateur Radio Transceiver w/ Seperation Kit
Radio Shack Pro-2051 1000 Channel Receiver

Makes those 45 minute commutes to work and back just a little more bearable.
