Moderators,
I'm down to 11 MEGS of space left of my account. We might want to look at the various posts and see what can be combined, consolidated or deleted completely. Candidates for deletion might include old For Sale posts and old Flea Market events that have passed and noone added photos of the event.
Moderators, what do you think?

Hi,
Actually I was using the "weed eater" yesterday! I've been going through some of the posts and reloading photos with smaller images.
One thing that I might suggest would be to make the size limitation for attachments smaller than the current 100kb. Posts that have lots of pictures with them that are over 50kb in size usually take several minutes to download with my 56k modem.
Also, is there any method to determine if the old images that are carryovers from the previous messsage board are still linked to an existing topic? My guess is that some of those items are long gone.

I'll look into that aspect Steve and see if I can weed those out. Thanks for looking through some of the other posts for us.
I think the patch section will be a good one to ax, especially if Engine42 is starting a "patch and badge" website. Also I have all the Baltimore patches in duplicate. Once on the boards and once in the Baltimore Patch site I put together, and the latter can easily be moved to the Steel Valley Web Designs space I have with minimum impact.
We're on a roll here! I'd like to keep the books and the movies posts. I kinda like the scenarios but I know we haven't had much activity with them
Everyone else on the boards, what are your gripes or praise about lowering the image size to 50K / pic?

How about this idea?
I could free up some space also by getting rid of anyone who hasn't accessed their account since we switched over to this board software. Not only are they a security risk but also aren't really participating anything but adding one to our registered user numbers.

Hi!
Deleting the users that haven't come back since the changeover sounds like a good idea. Also, on the for sale/wanted ads you could have a time limit (all ads will be deleted after 90 days, whatever).

The ideals listed sounds good to me. Smaller photos will work. Thanks

After cleaning and moving some stuff and deleting all of the non Youngstown patch image files from the server, we now have 37 MEG free. There are some other housecleaning I'll be doing some more soon to help add space for our continued posting.
I haven't implemented a 50K/image limit yet.
That's where we are right now
