     Looks like an old engine, still has the soda/acid tank. What were the wicker baskets for?

I was surprised to see the chemical tank too.  The baskets carried coal.

Per my understanding BCFD's schedule is one day on, one off, one on followed by five off. Equating to a total of four shifts
