The youngstownfire.com message boards are now taking applications for moderators!

The requirements for the position of a forum moderator are 1. love of the fire service, 2. love of this message board, 3. more love of this message boards , 4. love of me (ok, this is optional), 5. the ability to post at least one message a week to your forum, and finally 6. the knowledge of how to notify one of the administrators to bad or offensive posts on the boards and 7. you must help spread the word about the youngstownfire.com message boards.

So if you think you have what it takes, or want what I have, let me know via a private message. Also, let me know which forum, subforum, forums, or subforums (whew!) you would like to adopt.  We can have many moderators on the forums so even if your forum is taken, it's not a problem!

Hi everyone,

Keeping an eye on forums as extensive as these can be difficult. That's why I would like to recruit some new eyes and ears on the forums here. I'm looking for a few people to be moderators.

The title of moderator comes with a couple of job requirements. They are as follows...

1. Keeping an eye for fights, arguments or general troublemakers posting on the forums and reporting such posts to the administrators for review.

2. Watching for posts that have nothing to do with the topic and reporting them to the administrators for review.

3. Keeping the board posts fresh. I would really like to see a post in each forum each month. All forums should have at least 1 new post a month if possible.

That's about it. So if you think you would make a good moderator, please drop me a private message with the forums you would like to moderate and I'll look into possibly making you a moderator.

** Current moderators... I've reset the moderator status for everyone. If you still wish to be a moderator, please drop me a private message with the forums you wish to be a moderator for and I'll be happy to add you back.  Some of you have already responded and I appreciate that. Thanks!

The youngstownfire.com forums would like to welcome it's newest batch of moderators.

rmalottwtes30 will be keeping an eye on the Fire Apparatud Color Dictionary, Ohio Fire Discussion, Sutphen and Seagraves forums.

Lilick48 will be watching the fire apparatus manufacturers forum.

Photo Guru will be covering scenarios and Apparatus by fire department.

And FPO 224 will be covering Ohio Fire Discussion and the Fire Apparatus Manufacturers forums.

They will be helping be my eyes and ears in case I miss something. They will be helping watch the discussions and will let me know if any arguments start brewing or people post items that have no relavance to the discussions. They will also help keep the forums current by posting occasionally to keep the site content fresh.
