Duluth, Minnesota   Engine 10
Looks to be either a Nott or Waterous pumper.  Isn't Engine 10 the company that is located on the penninsula (or is it an island) that goes out into Lake Superior near downtown?

I don't  know much about this piece of equipment .  I think they used a Ford model T  motor  and small pump , maybe  250gpm or smaller ?

It's definately an early Wateorus engine, however, CONVOY, OHIO, does not show up in the Waterous records.  I wonder if they could have acquired it second hand??

This is a Waterous engine.  I don't find in any records I have available that W.S. Nott ever made such rigs.  I can only find them going from horse-drawn steamers to the "automobile" fire engines.

Anyway, this rig was is #637, a No. 7 Class A, single cylinder gasoline engine, built for the Eagle Fire Company No. 1, Mount Wolf, Penn.  It was shipped to them on June 30, 1913.  It was rated at 400 GPM.  They must have had some money to spend as it was equipped with all kinds of brightwork and extras.

This is Waterous engine No. 312, a No. 1 Gasoline Fire Engine with all standard equipment.  (Probably rated at 150-200 GPM.)  Their order also included a Waterous No. 2 Hand Hose Cart with 1,000 ft. of "Success" brand 2-1/2" hose and the cart was to be equipped with a fire axe, crow bar, and gong.  Order was shipped on October 3, 1905.  Oh yeah, one Chief's Badge also!

Duluth's Engine 10 was a Waterous engine No. 535, a No. 8 Class "B" Gasoline Fire Engine, rated at 500+ GPM.  Engine 10 was located on the extreme west end of Duluth (Gary-New Duluth as the area was called).  The company on "Park Point" was/is Engine 5.
