The building has a date of 1903 carved into the stone along the A/D side of the building. There are 3 pieces of horse drawn apparatus, a steamer, hose wagon and chemical engine on the ramp. The transition to the gasoline age has begun as an unidentified make of automobile is in use for the Chief. To the right of the Chief's car is a 1911 Seagrave 65' aerial (factory serial #6232). Earlier in 1911 the B.F.D. had purchased a pair of horse drawn hose wagons from Seagrave so this photo most likely was taken soon after the new aerial arrived.
