The HMRT is from working in the Haz Mat industry for almost 30 years. This was a profession in the private sector and member of my departments HM team through the 80's & early 90's. I ran the COunty's HM team for about 8 years up here and am now back in the private sector at large manufacturing facility with its own Fire/EMS/Haz Mat Team. Bill is my first name so HMRTbill.

Mine is simple as well. I cut my teeth riding on a truck company. Love the truck work. Those in the firehouse that were not assigned to the truck (i.e. engine trash) referred to us as "truck dogs" and "truck slugs". I prefer truckhound, hence the name.
