Engine 1844, Sale Creek, TN1984 Ford C-8000/American LaFrance "Rebel"1000/500x-Bluefield, WVThis apparatus was the prototype (and only example) of the proposed Rebel modular-body pumper. It was constructed at Elmira, NY in 1985 and moved to Bluefield, VA where it was completed. It was later sold to Bluefield, WV in 1986.

I don't believe this rig actually served the City of Dillon. I think it went to a VFD near there. I visited Dillon many years ago and asked about this rig and the guys there said they had never had anything like that. Dillon's fleet was/is painted red.
