Engine 1
1977 Ford/Boardman #F-2285
Diesel/automatic
1000/750
(Having the preconnects on reels sure makes "pickup" easy!)
(Now at Konawa, OK)
Engine 2
1971 Ford/Boardman #F-1816 (one of two, also #F-1817)
Gas/manual
1000/500
(The preconnect reels on these three trucks were eventually replaced by crosslays.)
Engine 3
1968 Ford/Boardman #F-1608
Gas/manual
1000/500
(Now at Shamrock, OK)
Engine 4
This was originally a 1961 model (#F-1304) on an F-850 chassis with a 750 pump and 500 tank. It was remounted (by Boardman) on a 1968 tilt-cab chassis after an accident which totaled the original. It was refurbished in 1983 (again, by Boardman) with a new Diesel engine, manual transmission, and 1,000-gpm pump. (I always wondered why an automatic transmission wasn't included as part of the refurb...?)

That's pronounced "my-AM-
uh
," not "my-AM-
ee
!"
Engine 10
1973 Ford/Boardman #F-1952
Gas/manual
1000/500
$32,888.18 (tag-on to Tulsa contract; built to TFD specs)
Engine 11
1977 Ford/Boardman #F-2246
Gas/manual
1000/500
The first two shots were taken in about 1978 with my trusty old 110 camera. The newer shots show how these girls have been modified over the years.
Engine 10, which has since been sold to Centralia, OK, was converted into a rural response piece. The tank was changed to 1,000 gallons and a hose bed mounted on top of it. The transverse compartment ahead of the pump was replaced with backboard storage and dual crosslays. The curbside booster reel was removed in favor of foam storage.
Engine 11 had high-side compartments and a 50' TeleSqurt added in the early 1980s. The booster reels were removed and replaced with crosslays at the same time.
