Going back over the Gleason and Baily hose cart (restored by Andy Swift and Ken Soderbeck) on display at the FDNY Training Academy are these manufacturer's plate, side ornament, and dedication to Wm Feehan.

Like many of the interesting old photos that I have posted here (and grabbed from eBay) there isn't any information to go along with this terrific picture. Judging from the size of the firefighter in the seat this is a really small wagon. The hose company name is W___PL, but that is all that can be made out. Can anyone identify the company and town?

Lorain, Ohio operated this wagon that could handle 10 firefighters, 1 child, and 1 dog.

A nice looking wagon. It appears to have a metal name tage or dedication plate mounted along the side.

The onlt lettering that I could read on this wagon is "No. 4". Note that to the right of the wagon that "Cataract" has been written vertically onto the photo. In searching the net I located information that Oswego, New York had a Cataract Hose. No. 4. Could this be Oswego?

A nice RPPC image of a St. Louis FD hose/chemical wagon using it's four-inlet gun on the Western Feed Co. building on Oct. 9, 1917. On the back the location is noted as: "Mo. Pac. R.R. tracks and Chroutean (not sure of spelling) Ave.
