1928 American LaFrance Type 17  #6431
After serving Austin, TX FD, the tractor was used at a school playground and recently rescued from the scrap yard. The owner located the tiller trailer and cut it out of the trees and is in the process of having it once again useful. The motor is a 105 HP 855 cid T-Head 6cyl that sounds great.

The Town of Lynnfield, MA Fire Department still owns this 1914 American laFrance/Ford Model T dual chemical, ALF Serial number F106.  If you look at the upper right section of the photo, the dirt road visible there is US Rte 1, now a 6 lane highway.  Rumor has it the youth in the upper right of the photo is Box 2565 in an earlier life.  This firehouse was torn down in 1959 because of the widening of Rte 1 and a new station built down the street.
A fine looking lad I was!  What size tanks are on this rig Paul?

Really enjoyed the video.  I don't believe I've ever seen the whale-oil type torches lit before.

They look really cool and throw off alot of light. I can only imagin what people thought seeing it lit up on the scene of a fire.
