There have been 1000's of companies over the years that have put together a fire engine or two. Often you will look at a picture and wonder 'Who built that....'
Well here's your chance to find out, or at least try!
The photos posted in this topic will be those where the person is trying to positively identify the rig in question.
For starters, here is a beautiful custom pumper of mide teens vintage for Collingswood, New Jersey. That's pretty much all that I know about this one. So, put on those thinking caps (helmets) and let's get an answer as to who done it!

Studebaker

1950's vintage Studebaker lettered for the Columbia Township (Hamilton County), Ohio F.D. There is a discharge behind the cab so there was water on the rig which was most likely assembled by the department. The rig is on the ramp of the Madison Place fire station. MPFD protected portions of Columbia but this is the only photo I have ever seen that would indicate there was a CTFD. There is additional lettering on the door of "E F C V". Anyone know what those initials stand for? Ed Effron photo.

Adams, Massachusetts operated this chemical & hose combination. The body looks like it could easily have been built by a "real" apparatus builder, but who? I sure wouldn't want to get the ground ladders down from this one!

I purchased this trailer recently. No markings anywhere, except the tires, which are heat stamped OECo. In NE Ohio, that stands for Ohio Edison Company. Who is to say the tires are original...

I think they mean Carbon Dioxide. The cylinders fit in those round racks and are connected buy all those hoses.

I got the whole CO2 concept, I just find a few things about this manufacturer online, and nothing about trailer units. Everything I find is military truck units.

Ipswich, Massachusetts operated this chemical and hose rig that was constructed on a GMC truck chassis. I suspect that the apparatus body was transferred from a horse drawn piece as the bell and lantern that can be seen in the photo appear to be older than 1920's vintage.

Red Hill F.D. - Orange County, California
A rescue squad and a pumper pose in front of the station. Aside from the GMC chassis I can't identify anything regarding either apparatus.
