Troy, OH Station 1
Miami Co.
E. Race St.
Opened in the Fall of 1966
Lot was previously occupied by Montross Lumber Co.
and prior to that it was a turning basin for the Miami & Erie Canal.
I reported for work here on October 6, 1974 and retired from here on October 1, 2006.
Currently houses E-1, Tower 1, Tanker 1, Grass 1, Medic 1, Medic 4, Boat 1, Chief 2
2nd photo shows the apparatus line up from the opening year, from top to bottom:
E-4 a 1935 Seagrave, E-3 a 1945 Seagrave, L-1 a 1937 Seagrave, E-2 a 1965 Seagrave,
E-5 a 1952 FWD, and the Chief's Car. The Chief's car is gone and I have lost track of the ' 65 Seagrave, but all the others survive.

One of my favorite after school stops.
Replaced by the Station posted above.
Dates from the late 1870's.
Hand Drawn, Horse Drawn, and the 1st Motorized all ran from here.
Troy PD utilized space from 1966 - 1995.
Space now used by the City of Troy.
2nd photo shows 1935 Seagrave 1250 Pumper and 1937 65' Aerial, with the Stutz in the background
3rd is the Stutz in front of the factory.
All images are mine or my collection.

Troy, OH Station 2
Miami Co.
N. Market St.
Opened February 2007
Land purchased from the Staunton Grange, hence their new sign.
In the 3rd photo you can see the 3 story training facility that was incorporated
into this strucure. The training portion extends into the fire station to allow for training inside
during inclement weather.

Upper Arlington, OH
Station 72
Reed Road & Lytham
Ladder 72
I could not find a plaque & I did not stop as I was late for an appointment. It opened late Fall/Winer of 2009 or Early 2010. No tire marks on the ramp yet & you can still see the lines in the sod. The little projection off the front houses their 1928 Seagrave pumper that was fully restored.
There is an overhead door that opens onto the ramp. Maybe if I'm lucky, I'll get a shot of it some time. I'm also not sure of what runs out of here besides the ladder. The old station is in the adjacent lot to the South.

I heard M-72 marking on the air a couple weeks ago...so I'm not sure if they added a medic at this station or not. I believe the ladder and haz mat truck were the only things that ran out of this station.
