The Texas Fire Museum was organized in August 1999 and founded to acquire, restore and preserve the old City of Dallas Fire Department Maintenance Facility, that it may serve as an educational resource for the community. The Texas Fire Museum was also founded, to assist the Dallas Firefighters Museum and the North Texas Historical Fire Society in restoring and preserving their fire apparatus.
The Texas Fire Museum is now open every Thursday and Friday, from 10:00am until 2:00pm, and every third Saturday monthly from 8:00am until 5:00pm (CST). You may contact us by phone at: (214-267-1867)

This museum looks really interesting. Unlike most museum that have lots of small exhibits and a few pieces of motorized apparatus, this place is
loaded
with rigs!
Buffs in the Dallas area are lucky as this is the former Dallas FD shop complex that has been donated for use as the museum.

The good folks at the TFM hosted SPAAMFAA's 2008 Winter Meeting.
Posted below are a few that were pulled out side for our intrepid photo crew.
Thanks to all who worked so hard in making this event so successful.
We're hoping you'll host again in 2012!!
