Struthers Fire Department

hey there--struthersboy be in the house. thought i'd start a lil fire about Struthers Fire Department getting a new fire truck. They already have a '99 Ferrara Fire-Rescue truck stationed at Station 1 downtown. They are getting another one, from the same company, but where it goes i don't know. I'm guessing up on the hill at Station 2 to replace an '79 or '75 Mack. If you would like to check out the new Struthers truck in production go to:
www.ferrarafire.com
. then go to trucks in production, down to the bottom and you'll see Struthers Fire Department. Well i'm finished, anyone else who feels like adding about the Struthers Department feel free or anything in particular feel free. catch everyone later!!!

Hi!
I really like antique apparatus. Are there any records around that indicate what Struthers would have had in the way of apparatus back from the beginning? Also, how long has the SFD been around?
Thanks,
Steve

Box2565 what is up?? i do know that the Struthers FD was established in 1903. As far as their appartus from the beginning i couldn't tell you that. i will say this though, one of our prominent business men in the city bought our old 1951 or 41' Mack fire truck the department had. They refurbed it, rebuilt the engine, new paint job, etc and was in our 4th of July parade last year and looks beautiful. I heard everything still works on it including the pump. Guess if it had to go into service it could be used, don't know how quick it would get there though. any other questions feel free to ask----peace, struthersboy
