Hi,
Over the next few weeks I be posting photos from an inspection visit to Pierce in July 92. Here's a few to start it off - literally from when Pierce gets the raw material.
All the best,
John

A few more shots of Cabs (Arrow, Lance and Dash), pumps and a chassis under construction.

A shot of my fire company's Pierce Lance 1500/750 topmount (River Road, Piscataway, NJ) under construction Yes, our engine has some totally impractical crosslays.

Thanks for the step back in time... 1 of our engines was built in 92' as well, I wish we had someone who would have taken photos like you.
Trav!

Thanks for the nice comment! I'll post more when I get a chance. I do have some nice shots of Hudson (OH?) Snorkel rebuild that was there at the same time. It's a sweet looking rig. I still remember my first snorkel - Perth Amboy NJ's 1969 (I believe) FWD with a Chicago style paint job that was unique for its time.
I "grew up" on a 1964 FWD 65' Snorkel and thought it was a wonderful aerial piece. We could get that unit in anywhere and put out a lot of fire with it. Our replacement 1989 LTI 100' tower is a decent rig but so unwieldy and large. I was very bummed to here that the last Snorkels have left the line and we probably won't see rebuilds for that much longer. I digress - more photos soon!
