Apparatus at the Westminster,MD. CAFAA muster; 6/4/2011
« on: June 05, 2011, 01:15:19 PM »
The 42nd annual muster, and IIRC, the 10th in Westminster, attracted approx. 30 motorized .
pieces and a handful of hand-pulled apparatus.
Recent dry weather allowed access to the park pond where about 1/2 of the rigs drafted and pumped, although thick algae hampered several rigs.
A larger group of spectators than normal taxed the food and "restroom" facilities, but the weather was quite nice thru noontime.
Here are 2 group shots of rigs battling the pond scum; WW Jenkins images

There were at least 7 Seagrave rigs, which was the most from any "big" manufacturer.
This is what I shot:
1937 Seagrave 66E ?/? Serial#88020
1956 Seagrave Anniversary 1000/300, x-Pikesville,MD.
1983 Seagrave HB 1500/1000, X-Setauket,LINY

One of 2 ambos on site was this 197? Caddy/Miller-Meteor, formerly owned by Clear Spring,MD., now owned by Steve Lichtman.

An "artsy" shot of the business end of the lone Ahrens-Fox on site, a 1947 Model HT #3465, from Cumberland FC of Carlisle,PA.
