The father of NASA was the National Advisory Committe on Aeronautics, NACA. Over the years they maintained fire apparatus at several testing facilities in the US.
American LaFrance records show this Model 675 CO delivered to the Cleveland, Ohio facility in July 1942. It carried AmLaFr registration L-1771, was equipped with a 750 gpm pump, 100 gals of water and a CO2 system.
Thanks to Steve Hagey for sending along the photos.

Another NACA rig, this Ford-American LaFrance served at the Langley Testing Facility, VA. Not much info on this one, it does have a pump, 6-bottle CO2 system and carried a mechanical foam maker.
