1935 Ford/Alcoa This was known as Emergency No. 1. 350 gpm Barton American front mount, 150 gwt. This was the second of 3 trucks built at the Aluminium Company of America (ALCOA) New Kensington Works. The bodies were aluminium. The first was built in 1933, the second in 1935 and the last in 1937. This was the primary engine of choice by the members at No.1 from 1935 until about 1963. It served as the reserve engine until 1970. Still housed at No. 1.

A shot of the 1927 engine and ladder truck beside their replacements. In 1960, the city purchased an ALF 900 series engine and ladder truck.

In 1990 the city replaced Engine 1. The city sold it to neighboring Lower Burrell No. 1. They painted it and used it for years. It was sold about 5-6 years ago to a collector in the Kittanning area.
